Central Park South is 59th Street between 5th Avenue and Columbus Circle. It is opposite the southern part of Central Park. Central Park is an urban park in middle-upper Manhattan, within New York City. Central Park is the most visited urban park in the United States, with 40 million visitors in 2013. It is also one of the most filmed locations in the world. Central Park was designated a National Historic Landmark (listed by the U.S. Department of the Interior and administered by the National Park Service) in 1962. The apartments here are prewar residences, condos and co-ops, including a few available within classic hotels like the Plaza and the Ritz-Carlton. Central Park South possesses several urban monuments: Rockefeller Center, Times Square, and the eye-popping art deco façades and modern glass towers.

Things to do:

1) Visit the stunning and historic Central Park along West 59th Street. It is about 778 acres of land and is designated a National Historic Landmark. At Central Park, you can enjoy a row on the lake at The Loeb Boathouse. While there, stop for a bite at the carryout café or dine alfresco at the scenic restaurant.

Take a stroll around and take in all the artwork and structures such as Balto, the King Jagiello Sculpture, The Gates and many more.

2) See a show. Central Park is home to a number of annual performance series. Follow your favorite bands, they might have a free show in the park! Check out the Central Park website for the calendar. 

3) Visit The Met. After tossing pennies in the fountains outside and pulling your crew from the Arms and Armor hall, head up to the rooftop garden (accessible via the elevator in the European Sculpture and Decorative Arts galleries) for a unique view of the park.

4) Visit the Guggenheim Museum on 1071 5th Ave, New York, NY 10128. Home to one of the most architecturally distinct buildings, vistors can experience special exhibitions of modern and contemporary art, lectures by artists and critics, performances and film screenings, classes for teens and adults, and daily tours of the galleries led by museum educators.
